AWN Preparing to Host Autism Workshops in 2011
Bye Bye Pepsi and Hello AWN Workshops 2011!
The Autism Women's Network wants to personally thank each one of you for your unwaivering dedication over the past several months while AWN attempted to win a Pepsi Grant. The Pepsi Refresh Everything Campaign was a wonderful opportunity for AWN, and one which we are grateful to have participated. The grant contest put AWN in contact with dozens of organizations, fabulous community minded projects and wonderful men, women and children from coast to coast across the USA.
To date, AWN has received more than a dozen invitations to host workshops across the US, with many of the invitations including travel, lodging, and offers of a place to host the events! AWN has more than doubled the number of workshops which the Pepsi Grant would have provided. The grant funds we were allocating to establish AWN as a non-profit will be minimized. We had another 501 3C step up and offer to back AWN through the process of filing all Federal, State, and Trademark documents to finalize our non-profit! As a matter of fact, the paper work, and filing of necessary documents have already begun!
So far, AWN has confirmed the following persons as contributors and/or presenters. More speakers and contributors will be added as Autism Women's Network Workshop Committee get's underway in January 2011.
